S&P Kensho Electric Vehicles Indexは、AIを活用し、企業の開示情報などの膨大な文献を自動的に処理すること等を通じて、第4次産業革命*1の 原動力となる技術群(テーマ)に沿う銘柄を選定する「S&P Kenshoニューエコノミー指数」の一つです。 このインデックスでは、電気自動車関連企業*2の銘柄を選定します。

1 第4次産業革命とは、モノのインターネット「IoT(Internet of Things)」や「人工知能(AI)」等による技術革新によって、 産業を大きく変革しようとする取り組み。

2 電気自動車関連企業とは、対象インデックスを提供するKensho Technologies,LLC(以下、Kensho社)が考える、 電気自動車セクターやそれを支援する事業に従事している企業をいいます。

Kensho社は、データ分析・機械学習・自然言語処理などを強みとする米国のテクノロジー 企業であり、米国大手指数提供会社のS&P Global Inc.の子会社です。
